What People Are Saying

“I first met Chesna Closs when I attended a conference for women elected officials... where Chesna was part of the meeting. Her business "Fit Esteem" was received with enthusiasm and pleasure because of her approach to fitness and well-being. I was so impressed by her knowledge and caring that I recommended my daughter Michelle become a member of her program. For the rest of the conference the women had so much fun...”

— Dot Lamarche, Vice-Mayor, Farragut, Tenn

“Chesna is a gift. For several years, she has helped my teenage daughter with all aspects of her life from nutrition and fitness to self-esteem and even self-defense! She has a holistic approach that is both realistic and unique, and is beyond caring. In fact, my daughter trusts Chesna, confides in her, and looks to her as a role model. Chesna is so much more than a trainer. She is a life coach, and I suspect she will continue this role even after my daughter goes to college. Yay Chesna!” — Robin S

“After starting your program, I have much better TOOLS to use to keep moving forward! I know that many people will benefit from your approach and I am grateful to have been a part of this program. There is a need for FE – the world needs women who believe in a holistic approach to health/fitness – that the soul needs as much of a workout as the body.” — Sandy Kim, Actor

“This program has helped me to teach my daughters discipline and consistency by example. Thank you Chesna for being so supportive and amazing.” — Cassandra Braxton

“Thank you Chesna for changing it up and keeping me challenged, motivated and wanting more! FE for life!!!” — Dorothy Boczar

“My goals have changed from losing weight to changing my whole lifestyle inside and out. I realize fitness starts from your mindset and then manifests itself physically.” — Chantaille Blake

““Fit Esteem is a lifestyle, not just working out and losing weight; Those things can be temporary but a lifestyle change ensures their permanence.”

— Ian Denny

“I have been working with Chesna for approximately eight months.  She is extremely warm and upbeat as well as professional.  My problem area has always been my waist and abdomen.  This has been a difficult area for me to improve.  I have seen amazing results!  I am able to do more advanced exercises that I never thought were possible for me.  The sessions are always varied and challenging.  I am very happy with the results.” — Wendy G

“Before you showed me any workout routines, you brought me in for an interview. There were the standard questions including those that covered birth date (age!), health issues, eating habits and my previous workout habits. All of the answers I gave you revolved around my being in excellent shape with the very best of daily living habits. What you did next not only surprised me, but it made me pause for a minute and ask myself ‘who does this personal trainer think she is?’ YOU TOOK MY BLOOD PRESSURE!!! What’s more- you looked me square in the eye, now conveying the message that you really know your stuff, that you are a professional and I had better listen up. You told me that my blood pressure was 140 over 100 and that it was high- too high too make you feel comfortable recommending any workout routine for me. Further, you told me that given my gender and age, you recommended that I consult with a physician. At that moment, my perception of you turned 180. You were the professional, you know your stuff and perhaps most important of all- you care. Caring is the most difficult skill set to acquire. I visited my doctor the next week and he confirmed my blood pressure at 140 over 100. He prescribed blood pressure medication immediately. He wasn’t sure I should be working out either and ordered blood tests and a stress test with Thalium. I had the stress test last week and thank God, all is normal. Chesna, I cannot thank you enough for alerting me to my high blood pressure. You may have saved me from serious injury or worse. Your telling me not only highlighted your professional and compassionate sides, it showed me more than a trace of bravery as well. I would like to think that every trainer is as responsible as you but I doubt it though- you are special, very special actually. Thank you Chesna. Our story is one that I will share with family, friends and colleagues for years to come.”

“Enthusiastic, encouraging, positive, kind-hearted, professional, intellectual, expert, fit!  These are all words to describe Chesna.  I was fortunate to meet Chesna at the right time; as I finished several series of physical therapy and medications to treat a debilitating back injury.  I was so impressed that she was willing to invest the time to meet me in my home for a free consultation.  We reviewed the equipment that I owned, my concerns, abilities, goals, diet, medications, and doctor’s approval for working out.  These were all things I’d want from a trainer, instead of being pushed through a process like cattle (no pun intended). In our sessions, Chesna constantly evaluates my progress and when ready moves me to my next hurdle.  Transitions are comprehensive but do not take away from our valuable time.  Also, Chesna really listens when I talk.  I can’t name how many daily challenges she’s helped me to overcome by first truly listening and then taking action.  My expectations have not only been met but surpassed.”
