We believe in taking a common-sense approach to food and we keep it real. We DO NOT believe in dieting, quick fixes, counting calories or weighing food. Chesna encourages the following nutritional guidelines:

  • Don’t believe hype!
  • Get to know your body and what works for you!
  • Practice moderation and compensation.
  • Use common sense based on your individual body, not trendy diet fads
  • Eat breakfast
  • Eat your larger meals earlier in the day
  • Eat less meat and more vegetables (eat organic and grass-fed beef if you’re going to eat meat)
  • Beware of eating too much fruit
  • Kick sugar and sugar substitutes!
  • Avoid foods that contain high fructose corn syrup
  • Avoid foods that are genetically modified
  • If you can’t pronounce it…
  • Choose baking, broiling, stewing and boiling over frying
  • Avoid charred meats
  • Cut down on the amount of processed foods you eat
  • Stop eating 2 – 3 hours before bedtime
  • Drink more water. Exact amounts vary from person to person. Consult your doctor and get to know your body to figure out your water requirements.
